Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has approved appointment of Local Government legislative arm.

The legislative structures of the eighteen local government areas in Ondo State are to be inaugurated on Monday.

State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) , Engr. Ade Adetimehin, disclosed this on Sunday when he met with all the local governments’ Party, and council chairmen in Akure.

Adetimehin said the leader of the party in the State, Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, had graciously approved the decision in the interest of good governance.

Adetimehin urged the executive and the legislative arms of the local administrations to explore ways to work together harmoniously in the interest of their people.

He also called on party chairmen, and council bosses to give quality attention to the building of the ruling party in their various areas.

The APC chieftain cautioned against unfounded insinuations and avoidable wranglings that could lead to divisions within the party.

In the same vein, Governor Akeredolu has approved the appointment of secretaries for the 18 local government areas of the State.

The appointments were part of the efforts to fortify local government administration in the State, and promote quality service delivery in the third tier government.
